What a whirlwind week it has been for Quintez Cephus.

The former Wisconsin WR received some good news last week when he was found not guilty of sexual assault. On Tuesday morning, news surfaced that Cephus intended to return to school and football, but it was unclear where he intended to do so.

As of Tuesday evening, Jeff Potrykus with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that Cephus is indeed seeking readmission to Wisconsin. According to the report, Cephus’ legal team has filed a petition for readmittance to the university and is requesting an answer by Thursday. He was suspended from the football team in 2018 after sexual assault charges were filed and later expelled from the university.

Cephus recorded 34 catches for 595 yards and 6 TDs between 2016-17 but did not play in 2018. Even if he is to be readmitted to Wisconsin, it remains to be seen how and when he could return to playing action for the Badgers.
