One of the Big Ten’s best WRs announced Saturday night he was taking a leave of absence from the team.

Wisconsin’s Quintez Cephus said his leave of absence will be taken “in order to focus all of his attention on clearing his name” for unspecified charges due to an incident that happened back in April.

Although he missed a few games due to a broken leg last season, Cephus caught 30 passes for 501 yards and six TDs in nine games. He was an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten performer.

This is obviously big news, as Wisconsin’s first game is just 13 days away.
