Mark D’Onofrio is reportedly going to be joining a B1G coaching staff in 2022. The former Penn State player and Houston DC is expected to join Wisconsin’s coaching staff according to The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman.

D’Onofrio most recently coached at Houston from 2017-2018. He also had stops at Miami, Temple, Virginia, and Rutgers in various roles. He was the LB coach at Rutgers from 2001 to 2003. D’Onofrio could be filling the opening that the Badgers have at LB coach.

Feldman posted the news from his Twitter account.

D’Onofrio played college football at Penn State from 1988-1991. Out of college, he got drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 1992 NFL Draft and retired due to a serious injury during his rookie season.

While his role at this time is unknown, it’ll be interesting to see how Wisconsin ends up using him.
