Melvin Gordon will reportedly be spending the next two seasons with the Denver Broncos. NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported the news on Friday afternoon.

According to Rapoport, Gordon has agreed to a two-year deal with the Broncos worth $16 million. Of that total, $13.5 million will be guaranteed money for the former Los Angeles Chargers running back.

Gordon, 26, spent the first five years of his NFL career with the Chargers. He was initially drafted by the franchise in the 2015 NFL Draft, selected in the first round with the 15th overall pick.

The former Wisconsin star rushed for 612 yards and eight touchdowns last season, and also caught 42 passes for 296 yards and a score. In five seasons with the Chargers, Gordon has tallied 4,240 rushing yards and 1,873 receiving yards. He’s accounted for 47 total touchdowns during his NFL career.

The Chargers finished the 2019 NFL season with a 5-11 record, failing to make the playoffs. The Broncos were 7-9 a year ago, also missing the postseason.
