The 2021 NFL season has not gone in the favor of the Seattle Seahawks (3-5), who are sitting at the bottom of the NFC West with the San Francisco 49ers (3-5). They will need a strong second half of the season for a playoff push.

Fortunately, they got a boost on Monday when former Wisconsin star quarterback Russell Wilson was cleared for a full return. Here’s the team announcement on Wilson:

Wilson played 5 games for Seattle when he encountered a broken finger in his throwing hand in the third quarter at home vs. the Los Angeles Rams. In those 5 games, Wilson went 90-of-125 throwing the ball for 1,196 yards, 10 touchdowns, only 1 interception, and a QBR of 63.3.

Wilson was set to be out between 4-to-8 weeks depending on his recovery in his finger. He is set to return for Seattle’s next game at the Green Bay Packers (7-2) on Sunday, Nov. 14.
