Selfless leader: Russell Wilson returns to practice days after finger surgery to help team prepare
Even though Russell Wilson will be out for the next several weeks, that’s not going to stop him from being around his team.
Wilson was seen at practice just a few days after his finger surgery to help the Seahawks prepare for their matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Even though he didn’t participate in any drills, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport went into detail on his role on the field and said:
“Russell Wilson was at practice, on the field, in his jersey – everything except doing what he used to do, which is practice football. Still, kind of a cool thing for one of the team’s leaders to be back out there with the guys and really help Geno Smith prepare.”

Wilson was also using his left hand at practice as he was practicing holding the ball in his left hand.

Today he was throwing passes with his left hand.
