Wisconsin crossed into SEC country to get its latest commitment.

On Tuesday, the Badgers received a verbal pledge from three-star running back Antwan Roberts, a native of Hendersonville, Tennessee. He made his announcement with a post on Twitter. He’s now the 10th player to verbally commit to Wisconsin during the 2021 recruiting cycle.

“This experience was nonetheless humbling and exciting and I’m proud to say I’ve made my decision to commit to the University of Wisconsin,” Roberts wrote on Twitter. “Go Badgers!”

Roberts is a 6-foot-1, 189-pound running back who is ranked as one of the top 100 players at his position in this year’s cycle. He’s also one of the top 30 prospects from the state of Tennessee, according to 247Sports.

Seven schools offered Roberts, but the running back picked Wisconsin over Duke, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, Missouri and Vanderbilt. He joins a Badgers group that ranks pretty high in the recruiting rankings early in the process.

Wisconsin currently owns the B1G’s second-best recruiting class, behind only Ohio State. Nationally, the Badgers rank fifth. He’s the third running back prospect to commit.
