Tanner Mordecai was injured in the first half against Iowa, and his reaction to the injury certainly had fans worried. As it turns out, fans had a right to be worried about Mordecai.

Coming off the field in the first half, Mordecai appeared to be mouthing “I can’t throw” to the Wisconsin bench. He was quickly taken to the locker room, and the FOX broadcast confirmed coming out of halftime that Mordecai would not return due to a hand injury.

Now, the Badgers will turn to Braedyn Locke to try and pull off the comeback against the Hawkeyes.

“That is not the only thing wrong with this offense, we have got to get a running game going,” head coach Luke Fickell said about the QB position per FOX’s Allison Williams

Braelon Allen was held in check throughout the first half while missing some snaps with an injury of his own. He has since returned to action and has looked okay running the ball since then. We’ll see if the offense is able to string some plays together under Locke and Allen in the second half.
