Tanner Mordecai revealed his transfer destination after leaving the SMU football program. Mordecai is heading to a B1G West school.

Luke Fickell already attracted former Oklahoma QB Nick Evers and landed another QB on Friday. That’s right, Mordecai is heading to Madison to join Fickell.

Mordecai also used to play for Oklahoma. Mordecai was a Sooner before transferring to SMU following the 2020 season. Mordecai lit up opposing defenses this season with SMU, throwing for 3,524 yards passing with 35 total touchdowns.

Here’s what Mordecai had to say about the decision:

“I want to take this opportunity to thank Southern Methodist University faculty, staff, and football program. After conversations with coach Fickell and coach Longo. I am excited to announce I will utilize my last year of eligibility at the University of Wisconsin. I could not be more fired up to play at a school with rich history and a winning culture.”

Something about Fickell keeps attracting transfer QBs.
