When the B1G division were realigned in 2014, Nebraska and Wisconsin both headed to the newly formed west division. Two years earlier, they had played in the B1G Championship Game and were supposed to turn into rivals.

But according to Wisconsin linebacker Zack Baun, that hasn’t happened.

“It’s just another game. Another football game. The trophy’s never left here, so I don’t think it’s a rivalry yet,” he told the media on Tuesday. “Maybe it was before, but it definitely isn’t anymore.”

Wisconsin owns a 9-4 edge in the all-time series with Nebraska, but the Badgers have won six straight against the Cornhuskers since Wisconsin crushed Nebraska in the B1G Ten Championship Game 70-31 in 2012.

Since the creation of the B1G West and the Freedom Trophy in 2014, Wisconsin is 5-0 against Nebraska.
