Expecting Wisconsin to land a transfer quarterback for the 2023 season is not particularly surprising. Graham Mertz, the starter in 2022, is in the transfer portal and Luke Fickell is likely looking for a new piece to jump-start his tenure in Madison.
Determining which transfer QB is likely to land at Wisconsin this offseason is a different matter. However, one report Tuesday indicates the Badgers are planning to host a portal QB this weekend.
According to Clint Brewster with 247 Sports, Wisconsin is expected to receive a visit from former Virginia star Brennan Armstrong. Armstrong has been a part of the Cavalier program since 2018.

Armstrong struggled in 2022 while completing 54.7% of his passes for 2,210 yards with 7 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. However, his full body of work remains impressive.
From 2020-21, Armstrong threw for 49 touchdowns with 21 interceptions while adding 14 rushing touchdowns. For his career, the QB has over 9,000 yards passing and 78 total touchdowns.
