Tyler Van Dyke will reportedly look at playing elsewhere in 2025.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel shared Monday that Van Dyke plans to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal again. Van Dyke transferred from Miami to Wisconsin ahead of the 2024 season.

Van Dyke is entering his final season of NCAA eligibility. His career began in 2020, a season that the NCAA ruled does not count against players’ eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which altered many schedules. This past season, Van Dyke made just 3 appearances before tearing his ACL, allowing him to take a redshirt.

In the 3 appearances against Western Michigan, South Dakota and Alabama, Van Dyke was 43-of-68 passing (63.2% complete) for 422 yards and 1 touchdown.

Van Dyke threw for over 7,000 passing yards and 50 touchdowns from 2021-23 at Miami. His most productive year with the Hurricanes was in 2021, when he threw for 2,931 yards with 25 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. The 2023 campaign, his final year at Miami, saw him post his best completion percentage (65.8%), but also his worst touchdown-to-interception ratio (19-12), while throwing for 2,703 yards.
