Tyler Wahl kept knocking down shots to keep Wisconsin on pace with Iowa. It took overtime, but the Badgers beat the Hawkeyes 78-75 in Iowa City.

Wahl led the Badgers in scoring, with 21 points. Wahl also had 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Other key scorers for Wisconsin included Chucky Hepburn (11 points), Steven Crowl (12 points), and Connor Essegian (14 points) who came off the bench.

Wahl had a key role in a 9-0 run that Wisconsin went on during the second half, backing down an Iowa defender to the basket before knocking down a layup.

Hepburn and Essegian did their parts to help the Badgers secure the win. Hepburn was also able to find success underneath the basket many times throughout the game.

Essegian eventually scored the bucket that would put the game on ice. Wisconsin was on a fast break with seconds remaining in overtime and Essegian capped off the evening with a nice slam dunk.

Wisconsin has recovered quite nicely since losing to Wake Forest. The Badgers have now beaten in-state rival Marquette, No. 13 Maryland, and Iowa in Iowa City in their last three games.

Greg Gard’s team travels back home to take on Lehigh next. Lehigh-Wisconsin will be on Dec. 15 and tips off at 7 p.m. ET on BTN.
