Tyrell Henry, Michigan State WR transfer, announces B1G commitment
Tyrell Henry is leaving Michigan State, but staying in the Big Ten.
Henry, a 6-foot, 175-pound slot receiver, committed to Wisconsin after he visited the Badgers last weekend, and also received an offer from Minnesota.
Henry was a redzone threat for the Spartans, and overall caught 24 passes for 195 yards and 3 touchdowns as a sophomore at Michigan State. Henry also was the Spartans’ punt and kick returner last season, and he returned kicks as a true freshman. He averaged 6.9 yards per punt return and 17.1 yards per kick return this past season.

Henry made one of the best catches of the year early in the season against Central Michigan.

Wisconsin is set to have a slew of players at Henry’s position.
Will Pauling will return after he led the team with 66 catches, 694 yards and 4 touchdowns, and Vinny Anthony with 7 catches for 84 yards came on strong late in the season. There’s also freshman Trech Kekahuna and incoming freshman Kyan Berry-Johnson, who could contribute.
