Urban Meyer had the opportunity to coach a lot of great players during his time at Ohio State. The Buckeyes always raked in some of the best recruiting classes and produced top-end NFL talent during his 7-year run in Columbus.

But there’s one player Meyer regrets to never landing while at Ohio State. As his Jacksonville Jaguars prepare to play Indianapolis this weekend, the first-year NFL coach reflected on his Buckeyes missing out on Colts running back and former Wisconsin standout Jonathan Taylor.

“I used to get so upset with our coaches at Ohio State, like ‘Why don’t we have him?’ We didn’t even know about him,” Meyer said during a weekly presser, per 247Sports. “They had like five (good running backs) in a row. I mean, every year I would scream at our coaches, back when I screamed a lot. I’d scream at our staff, ‘How did we miss on him?’

“I remember it well when he got (to Wisconsin). I was like, ‘You’ve gotta be kidding me,’ because the (running back) that just left was like the NCAA rushing leader or something.”

Taylor enjoyed one of the most successful careers for a B1G running back in history. During his 3 seasons in Madison, he rushed for 6,174 yards and 50 touchdowns while maintaining a 6.7 yards per carry average for his career.

Taylor is enjoying a strong second season in the NFL this year. He’s totaled 821 yards and 8 touchdowns on 140 carries in 9 games for the Colts. In his rookie campaign in 220, the running back was responsible for 1,169 yards on the ground with 11 touchdowns.

Indianapolis and Jacksonville will meet at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m.
