Alex Hornibrook won’t be taking any criticism this week. On Saturday night, on the biggest stage of the season, Wisconsin’s junior quarterback delivered the drive, and the play, of the year.

With the Badgers trailing 17-14 in the fourth quarter with five minutes left, Hornibrook drove his team down the field effectively and efficiently. And with :57 left in the game, Hornibrook connected with A.J. Taylor for a 17-yard game-winning touchdown.

Perfect pass, beautiful catch.

That touchdown catch capped a 10-play, 88-yard drive that took a little less than five minutes.

It doesn’t get more clutch than that.

A few plays later, Wisconsin’s defense came up with an interception to seal the victory.

Hornibrook was sensational all night. He completed 17-of-22 passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns without a single interception.

Thanks to Hornibrook, Wisconsin improves to 3-1 on the year and 1-0 in B1G play. The Badgers are still the favorite in the West.
