Dare Ogunbowale may not have gained a lot of yardage in Tampa Bay’s preseason opener against Pittsburgh on Friday night, but the yards he did accumulate came in impressive fashion.

The former Wisconsin running back finished the night with 34 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries for the Buccaneers on Friday. He was the team’s leading rusher for the evening.

But it wasn’t the yards that was most impressive. There was a 10-yard touchdown run in the third quarter in which Ogunbowale looked like an NFL running back.

Ogunbowale juked defenders out of their shoes and dove into the end zone for an impressive score. He later scored on a 1-yard touchdown run for his second score of the night.

Ogunbowale was an undrafted free agent in 2017 and originally signed with the Houston Texans. After bouncing around the league a bit, he’s found himself on and off the roster in Tampa Bay.

After Friday’s performance, he’s hoping he’ll be able to carve out a spot on the roster, or at least receive some interest from other teams around the league.

Ogunbowale is off to a solid start in preseason play. We’ll see if it continues over the coming weeks.
