There wasn’t much for Jonathan Taylor to improve on as a runner coming into his junior season. Having racked up over 4,000 career yards in two seasons, he’s on pace to shatter college football’s rushing records.

But, if there was one area Taylor could improve on, it’s his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. It’s only been one game, but he seems to have perfected that one, too.

In the second quarter of Friday’s game between Wisconsin and USF, Taylor caught a little dump pass from Jack Coan, made a few Bulls defenders miss and sprinted 36 yards to the end zone.

It was his second score of the night.

His first score of the night came on a 37-yard rush, leaving every defender on the field in the dust.

Taylor’s touchdown gave Wisconsin a 21-0 lead with over 10 minutes to play in the second quarter. Not a bad start to the season for the Badgers.
