Wisconsin fans showed up in Tampa to see the Badgers take the field against USF in the season opener on Friday night. The least Jonathan Taylor could do was put on a performance unlike we’ve seen.

Taylor accounted for four touchdowns on Friday night, two of which were receiving — the first of his career. Those four scores helped the Badgers record a 49-0 win over the Bulls in Tampa, starting the year 1-0.

After his outstanding Heisman-like performance, Taylor issued a thank you to Wisconsin fans for showing up in Tampa to show their support. He says UW will continue to need that kind of enthusiasm from its fanbase all year long.

Taylor finished the night with 135 rushing yards and added 48 receiving yards to his total. The Wisconsin defense held USF to just 157 total yards and 26 yards on the ground in the win.

Wisconsin will now return to Madison next Saturday to take on Central Michigan in the home opener.
