Troy Fumagalli ranked second in catches for Wisconsin this year, totaling 41 receptions for the season.

None may have been more impressive than the one he made on the Badgers’ opening drive in the Cotton Bowl, though.

Facing a 3rd-and-13 on Wisconsin’s first possession, Bart Houston fired a pass at Fumagalli that looked like it would be just out of reach. But the talented tight end stretched out and was able to somehow make the grab with one hand while tumbling to the ground:

The catch resulted in a first down for the Badgers, keeping the drive alive. The play then led to a touchdown and gave Wisconsin a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter.

Fumagalli caught 41 passes on the year for 497 yards and a TD this season.

He’s got the Badgers off to a pretty good start in the Cotton Bowl.
