The B1G has endured its first major upset of the season.

Wisconsin entered Saturday’s matchup against BYU as a three-touchdown favorite, but the Badgers came up three points short as the Cougars pulled off a stunning 24-21 upset in Madison.

The Badgers were never able to get into a rhythm and struggled to move the ball offensively. Star running back Jonathan Taylor didn’t have a huge impact either, and was used sparingly down an important stretch.

Still, Wisconsin had a chance to tie the game and potentially send things to overtime if Rafael Gaglianone could knock home a 42-yard field goal attempt. But the Badger kicker pulled the kick left and BYU escaped Camp Randall Stadium with a huge upset victory.

Wisconsin sits at 2-1 on the year heading into B1G play.
