Wisconsin had no troubles kicking off its 2018 season one week ago against Western Kentucky.

The Badgers won that game 34-3 and for Week 2, Paul Chryst’s team is hosting New Mexico. The start to the game went poorly, as the Lobos converted four different third downs against the Badgers defense and finished the drive with a TD.

In response — after a few runs by Jonathan Taylor — QB Alex Hornibrook dropped back to pass and look A.J. Taylor’s way.

Taylor did the rest.

Taylor fended off the defender here and used his left hand to snag and bring in the football. It was a catch of beauty and will surely make at least one top plays or top catches list for Week 2.

The Wisconsin-New Mexico game is entering the second quarter with the Lobos owning a 7-3 lead. It can be watched on BTN.
