Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst spoke to the media Monday, following its win 52-3 win over Rutgers.

The Badger’s offense was firing on all cylinders against the Scarlett Knights.

Quarterback Graham Mertz threw for 240 yards passing with three touchdowns. The team also rushed 305 yards on the ground lead by Chez Mellusi and Braelon Allen. Mellusi went for 75 yards rushing with a touchdown before leaving the game with a knee injury. Allen then took the bulk of the carries, and had 129 yards rushing and a touchdown on 15 carries. Mellusi is now listed as questionable for the game against Northwestern.

The Rutgers win is the fifth win in-a-row for the Badgers, who haven’t lost since the Michigan game in Week 4.

Chryst spoke about the impact that Mellusi has on the team, including giving him some praise for quickly adapting to a new system after transferring from Clemson in June of 2021. He also spoke about the confidence the team has after the 1-3 start.
