Wisconsin is headed to Vegas for the postseason.
The Badgers announced Sunday afternoon they’ll play in the Las Vegas Bowl against Arizona State on Dec. 30 at 10:30 p.m. ET. Shortly after the announcement, Wisconsin Athletic Director Chris McIntosh commented on the trip.
#Badgers Chris McIntosh: “We are very excited to be the inaugural Big Ten team to play in the Las Vegas Bowl. Our fans have a great tradition of support in Vegas, even as recently as a couple weeks ago when our men’s basketball team won the Maui Invitational."

The Badger basketball team won the Maui Invitational in Vegas on Nov. 24 with a 61-55 win over Saint Mary’s. (The midseason tournament was held in Vegas as a result of COVID.) Now it’ll be the Badger football team’s turn.
The Sun Devils (8-4) finished second in the Pac-12 South this season behind Pac-12 champion Utah. This will be just the 5th meeting all-time between the two programs and the first since 2013. Arizona State has won 3 of the previous 4. And that 2013 meeting featured 22 combined fourth-quarter points and a bizarre ending. Arizona State walked away with a 32-30 win.
This matchup in Vegas will take place at Allegiant Stadium.
