Wisconsin has been busy on the recruiting trail this summer, and the Badgers just added a specialist prospect to their class for 2022.

On Saturday, in-state kicker Gavin Lahm announced that he is committing to Wisconsin. Lahm hails out of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, and has nailed field goals up to 50 yards out.

“I’m very excited to announce my commitment to continue my athletic and academic career with UW-Madison,” wrote Lahm on Twitter. “I couldn’t be more excited, proud, and honored to be joining an amazing football program and team while gaining an excellent education.”

Lahm took an unofficial visit to Madison in June and also took part in a specialist camp with the Badgers that month. His commitment comes as a preferred walk-on, an offer he earned in late July after a conversation with Wisconsin’s Taylor Mehlhaff.
Lahm joins Wisconsin’s recruiting class that has added 10 commitments since the start of June. That group is headlined by 4-star tackle Joe Brunner out of Milwaukee.
