Luke Fickell’s Wisconsin staff continues to be busy in the transfer portal. The Badgers’ newest addition is coming off a strong showing in 2023.

Former Albany defensive lineman Elijah Hills took to social media on Tuesday to announce that he is continuing his college football career in Madison.

Hills joins the Badgers after three seasons at FCS program Albany. He will be a true senior, having played in 35 games.

Listed at 6-2, 281 pounds, Hills heads to the Big Ten after his most productive season in the FCS ranks. Playing in 15 games, Hills posted career highs in total tackles (31), TFLs (9) and fumble recoveries (3).

While Hills only played in 9 games of the 2022 season, his numbers were impressive. He had 28 total tackles, including 7.5 for loss. Hills had 2 sacks in 2022, his best season total in his three-year career.

A Rockaway, New Jersey native and former Delbarton School standout, Hills found playing time as a freshman at Albany. He appeared in 11 games for the Great Danes in 2021, logging 8 tackles with 1 sack and 1 forced fumble.

Hills’ commitment follows USC transfer LB Tackett Curtis, who announced earlier Tuesday.
