The Wisconsin Badgers have been knocked in the past for not scheduling tougher non-conference opponents.

It was likely a factor in why they weren’t considered serious College Football Playoff contenders last year without a Big Ten Championship win over Ohio State, and this year’s slate of Western Kentucky, New Mexico and BYU isn’t exactly difficult, either.

Now, the Badgers have finalized their 2023 non-conference schedule, and it will include a Sun Belt foe in addition to Washington State and Buffalo.

According to a release from Georgia Southern, the Eagles will head north to Camp Randall in 2023 to take on the Badgers on Sept. 16.

The Eagles and Badgers have never met on the football field before, so it’ll be an interesting non-conference matchup.

A lot will change for both teams between now and then, but it should be a fun trip for the Eagles, as Camp Randall is one of the more-intense places to play in all of college football.
