Wisconsin adds to 2024 recruiting class with commitment from LB out of South Dakota

Wisconsin has a new commitment in its 2024 recruiting class. Thomas Heiberger, a linebacker from South Dakota, has pledged to play for Luke Fickell’s program.
Heiberger shared the big news on his Twitter account.

Out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Heiberger is listed at 6-4, 210 pounds. The Jefferson High School standout is rated 3-stars, the No. 2 South Dakota product, No. 60 linebacker and No. 656 prospect overall in the 2024 recruiting class on the 247Sports Composite.
Heiberger chose the Badgers over scholarship offers from 15 other schools, including Oklahoma, Nebraska, Illinois and Purdue. He was in Madison last weekend, a week after he checked out the Huskers in Lincoln.

With Heiberger on board, the Badgers now have 5 pledges. Heiberger recorded 44 tackles as a junior, including 10 TFLs and 6 sacks. His highlights from that season can be viewed below, via Hudl:
