Wisconsin has announced some changes to the coaching staff heading into the 2022 season.

Head coach Paul Chryst has announced three changes to the staff as the Badgers prepare for spring football. The first is the hiring of Bill Sheridan, who will be the inside linebackers coach. He takes over for Bob Bostad, who will transition into the team’s offensive line coach.

Sheridan spent the past two seasons working as the defensive line coach at Air Force. He was also the linebackers coach at Boston College for two years and was the team’s defensive coordinator in 2019.

Sheridan also brings NFL experience to Madison, having spent 13 seasons in the professional ranks. He had stops with the New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions.

Bostad joined Chryst’s staff at Wisconsin in 2017 and has coached the inside linebackers for the past five seasons. He has plenty of experience leading the charge along the offensive line, though, having coached that position group for over two decades at the college and NFL levels.

Bostad was the run game coordinator and offensive line coach Bret Bielema’s Badgers staff from 2008-11. Prior to that, he was the tight ends coach and run game coordinator at Wisconsin from 2006-07.

The final change involves Mickey Turner, who will move to an off-field role focused on recruiting. He had spent the past seven years working with tight ends.
