Part of the fun of having stadiums back at full capacity for the 2021 college football season is the return of themed games. Wisconsin is wasting no time in bringing back the Stripe Out.

Monday, Wisconsin’s athletic department announced that the Week 1 game against Penn State will serve as the Stripe Out game for the 2021 season. The two teams meet on Saturday, Sept. 4 at Camp Randall Stadium in the season opener for both squads.

Below is the release from Wisconsin:

This year’s meeting between the two teams will be the first since 2018, a game the Nittany Lions won 22-10 in Happy Valley. Penn State has won four straight against the Badgers, including a 38-31 victory in the B1G Championship Game in 2016.

Three of the four contests have been decided by one possession.

Wisconsin’s last win was a decade ago, a 45-7 drubbing at Camp Randall Stadium. Penn State leads the all-time series 10-9.
