Wisconsin has added another home-and-home series against a Power 5 opponent to its future schedules.
The school announced on Monday morning that Wisconsin and Utah have set the dates for future home-and-home series, which will be played during the 2028 and 2033 seasons. This is the latest in a major scheduling push by the Badgers, adding plenty of big-time opponents to the nonconference slates.
Here are the dates for the two games:
- at Wisconsin: Sept. 16, 2028
- at Utah: Sept. 10, 2033
With the addition of Utah to the schedule, Wisconsin now has the following Power 5 opponents on future schedules:
- 2021: Notre Dame
- 2022 & 2023: Washington State
- 2024 & 2025: Alabama
- 2026 & 2027: Pitt
- 2028 & 2033: Utah
- 2029 & 2030: UCLA
- 2031 & 2032: Virginia Tech
Wisconsin and Utah have played three times with the Badgers owning the all-time series lead at 2-1. The most recent game came in 1996, a game the Badgers won 38-10. The two previous games were played in 1961 and 1987.
The Badgers finished the 2020 season with a 4-3 record.
