Wisconsin announces signing of experienced DB from transfer portal
RJ Delancy III is officially a Wisconsin Badger.
Wisconsin announced Delancy’s signing on Thursday. The Toledo transfer announced his commitment to UW earlier this month. He was also considering Auburn and

The Badgers are the third team of Delancy’s college football career. He returns to the Big Ten after a 3-year stop in the MAC.
A former standout of Miami (Florida) Northwestern, Delancy began his college career at Nebraska. He played in just two games on special teams for Scott Frost’s Huskers before transferring.
Delancy found playing time by transferring to Toledo. He played in 38 over three seasons at Toledo.
Delancy heads to Wisconsin coming off a breakout season. In 2023, he posted the best numbers of his career, recording 28 tackles and 11 passes defended with 1 interception over 13 games.
Entering Year 5 of his career, Delancy has logged 62 tackles, 16 passes defended, 2 interceptions and 1 forced fumble. He is using his NCAA COVID-19 waiver to be a super senior in 2024.
