Wisconsin basketball calls off Thursday night game vs. George Mason
Wisconsin basketball is the latest program to be impacted by COVID-19. The Badgers announced that their home game vs. George Mason on Dec. 23 is being cancelled.

Wisconsin made the decision after university medical officials learned of positive COVID-19 tests within the program.
No. 24 Wisconsin has a 9-2 overall record and is fifth place in the B1G. The Badgers’ lone losses came vs. Providence and Ohio State.
Next up for Wisconsin is a home matchup vs. Illinois State on Dec. 29 (8 p.m. EST). Illinois State is 8-5 overall and first place in the MVC. Wisconsin will resume B1G play with a road contest at Purdue on Jan. 3 (7 p.m. EST).
Wisconsin is coming off a 2020-21 season in which they posted an 18-13 record and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
