Wisconsin has decided to cancel all of its summer sports camps, do to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The website dedicated to camps at the University of Wisconsin-Madison released a statement.

“In response to the COVID-19 situation, the University of Wisconsin is cancelling all youth programs through August 15, 2020. This includes all Badger Sports Camps for summer 2020. The main priority of our programs continues to be the health, safety and wellness of our participants, student-athletes, coaches, administrators and staff as we continue to monitor all developing and relevant information on the COVID-19 virus.”

According to 247Sports, Wisconsin’s football program was scheduled to host high school camps on May 31, June 10, and June 17 as well as specialist camps on June 7 and June 21. The basketball team also had prospective camps scheduled for the month of June.

Wisconsin currently owns the second-best recruiting class in the B1G during the 2021 cycle. The Badgers sit No. 7 nationally.
