Wisconsin has some more bad news come out of fall camp.

Just a little under two weeks until the start of the season, Wisconsin CB Al Ashford III had season-ending shoulder surgery last week.

Ashford III is an incoming freshman for the Badgers; he is a 6-foot-1, 201-pound cornerback from Denver, Colorado, who played at Cherry Creek.

According to 247sports.com, he was a 3-star corner and had offers from Arizona, Boise State, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Oregon State and Washington State.

Wisconsin finished the season last year 4-3. The Badgers ranked No.3 last season in overall defense and No.1 in the pass defense, according to the B1G official website.

The Badgers this year rank 12 in the AP TOP-25 Poll.

The Badgers open the season against another AP Top-25 opponent in the No. 19 Penn State Nittany Lions, where they will square off in Camp Randall on Sept. 4.
