With the game coming down to the wire, Nebraska had a series of chances to tie the game late on the road versus No. 15 Wisconsin. After three incompletions from Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez, he looked for one more shot at the end zone for freshman Zavier Betts, but Wisconsin senior cornerback Faion Hicks was there to make the pass breakup.

There was controversy on that play as it looked like Hicks made contact with the receiver before the ball got to the receivers.

The refs did not believe it was pass interference, but the announcers calling the game for the game did. After the game, Wisconsin senior cornerback Caesar Williams called out the announcers of the game by asking if they have played defensive back.

The incompletion forced a turnover on downs near the red zone with four seconds left to secure the 35-28 win for Wisconsin.

It was another heartbreaking one-possession loss for Nebraska.
