Everyone is excited for most teams to be at or near full capacity for games this fall and that includes Wisconsin defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard.

He had his media session on Monday and touched on how exciting it’s going to be to have the stands of Camp Randall Stadium packed with fans.

“It’s going to be an interesting week because last year was so different and you think about the amount of guys that have never played in front of a full Camp Randall,” explained Leonhard. “It’s probably half, if not more than half of your team if you look at some of those younger guys who have been here a couple of years and really had small roles that are now juniors or redshirt sophomores. Obviously, the whole freshman class has never done it so it’s going to be a challenge for all teams in the country for how do you balance the emotion, the communication.”

Wisconsin’s first game of their 2021 campaign will be a matinee home matchup against Penn State this coming Saturday at Noon ET.
