It’s only one video from one play from one practice, but it seems like Wisconsin has another running back that will be making B1G defenses miserable for years to come.

That back is freshman Braelon Allen. As the Badgers prepare for the 2021 season, Allen appears to be a part of the Wisconsin run game and showed why with a nasty, nasty stiff arm during a Wisconsin practice on Wednesday.

That’s not a great video if you’re a defensive player for Iowa or Minnesota or any of the other teams that are set to face Allen this fall.

Though he was originally recruited as a linebacker out of Fond du Lac High School in Wisconsin, Allen has since switched to running back. Based on that stiff arm, it appears he’s adjusting to the position well. He was a four-star recruit in high school and ranked as the third best recruit in the state. He received plenty of offers from nearby powers such as Michigan, Notre Dame and Iowa.

Allen will try and add to the long and exhaustive list of successful Wisconsin running backs. It’s tough to remember them all. There’s Ron Dayne, Monte Ball, Melvin Gordon and so many more. It’s part of the reason why the Badgers have become a frequent visitor to the top of the B1G standings.
