Wisconsin has pair of 100-yard rushers in single game for first time since 2018
Wisconsin had something special happen in a game that hasn’t happened in 3 years.
The Badgers finally had 2 running backs who rushed for 100 yards in the same game. It’s the first time it’s occurred since Oct. 20 of 2018 when Jonathan Taylor and Taiwan Deal did it against Illinois.
In @chez_mellusi and @BraelonAllen, the #Badgers have a pair of 100-yard rushers in a game for the first time since @JayT23 (159) and @Taiwan_Deal (111) did so vs. Illinois on Oct. 20, 2018#OnWisconsin

Both Braelon Allen and Chez Mellusi have been electric against that same opponent on Saturday as they’re the biggest reason why the Badgers are winning. They’re close to going over 150 yards and they also have 2 rushing touchdowns combined while averaging 7 yards a carry.
A quarterbacks best friend is a healthy running game if it weren’t for Allen and Mellusi, this game could still be scoreless. Graham Mertz has only 100 yards passing with no touchdowns and 1 interception as his struggles this season have only gotten worse.
That said, Wisconsin is well on its way to getting to 2-3 and the biggest reason for that is because of its dynamic duo in the backfield.
