Wisconsin hoops updates status of freshman Ben Carlson
Wisconsin has officially released an update on the status of Ben Carlson and it is not promising.
According to Jim Polzin, he will be out for Monday night’s game against Maryland:
#Badgers freshman forward Ben Carlson out again tonight. UW calling it an "upper body" injury.

Carlson hasn’t played in a game since Dec. 15 against Loyola, which the Badgers won comfortably, 77-63.
Carlson was a four-star prospect when he signed with the Badgers and was considered the 101st ranked player in the country, according to 247Sports. He also was ranked as the 16th best power forward in the nation and the fourth-best player in the state of Minnesota.
Carlson hasn’t racked up a lot of stats this season yet as he only has 20 total points in six games. He also has a total of six rebounds and four assists in those games.
We’ll have to see if he’s available for the Badgers next game against No. 21 Minnesota on Thursday.
Tip-off for the Badgers game tonight is at 7 p.m. ET.
