Wisconsin K Rafael Gaglianone is out indefinitely with termed a right-leg injury, according to a report by Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Gaglianone is reportedly experiencing discomfort in his lower back. Potrykus notes that their is optimism is not as serious as when Gaglianone suffered a back injury in practice and was forced to have season-ending surgery.

A long-term injury would be a significant loss for the Badgers in 2018. Gaglianone is 23 of his last 26 field-goal attempts and is No. 2 in program history in field-goal percentage at 80 (60-of-75).

UW’s next options are two kickers who have yet to kick in a college game: redshirt freshman walk-on Collin Larsh and redshirt junior walk-on Zach Hintze.
