Wisconsin lands 2024 commitment from sought-after DB out of Florida
Wisconsin has picked up a new commitment for its 2024 recruiting class.
Xavier Lucas, a sought-after defensive back from Florida, announced on Friday that he has verbally committed to play for Luke Fickell’s program.

Lucas has been on the move during his high school career. He began at Deerfield Beach before transferring to Dillard. Lucas will play his senior season at American Heritage.
Listed measurements for Lucas are over 6-feet and 185 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Lucas is rated 3-stars, the No. 82 safety, No. 108 recruit in the state of Florida and No. 773 prospect overall in the Class of 2024. During his recruitment, Lucas picked up scholarship offers from 34 schools, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, Purdue and Rutgers.
