This time, Wisconsin got something from the SEC.

The Badgers loaded group of young linebackers just got a little more help. Christian Bell, who transferred from Alabama over the weekend, announced that he’ll be coming to Madison.

Bell was a grayshirt at Alabama in 2015, but didn’t arrive on campus until January. The former three-star recruit was the No. 19 weak-side defensive end in the 2015 class.

He bulked up to play linebacker during his brief time at Alabama. He was buried on the depth chart by upperclassmen and incoming recruits.

Under NCAA transfer rules, Bell will have to sit out the 2016 season.

Bell figures to play outside linebacker for the Badgers.

Wisconsin returned basically their entire linebacker group except All-American Joe Schobert. T.J. Edwards is out indefinitely after suffering a foot injury last week.
