Wisconsin continues to grow its 2025 recruiting class. The newest addition is a linebacker from Tennessee.

Brenden Anes took to social media on Monday to announce his verbal pledge to play for Luke Fickell’s program.

A standout of Franklin (Tennessee) Page High School, Anes is listed as measuring 6-2, 220 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Anes is rated 3-stars, the No. 30 player in the state of Tennessee, No. 65 linebacker and No. 753 prospect overall in the Class of 2025.

Anes has picked up scholarship offers from 11 programs so far in his recruitment. In-state programs Tennessee and Vanderbilt were among the teams to offer, along with Duke, Indiana and Wake Forest.

Recruiting momentum for the Badgers

It’s early in the 2025 cycle, with about 11 months to go before any prospects can sign in December. Fickell and his staff, though, are making some early noise on the trail.

UW is now up to seven verbal commitments in the 2025 recruiting class. Three of those pledges have come in the past week.

Three-star ATH Cody Haddad got the ball rolling with his Jan. 17 pledge. Jai’mier Scott, a cornerback from Cincinnati, kept the momentum going by committing this past Saturday.

Wisconsin’s 2025 class is now No. 10 nationally on the Composite rankings. Badgers fans can get a preview of what Anes brings to Madison by checking out his highlight reel below, via Hudl:
