Wisconsin lands commitment from proven running back in transfer portal
Wisconsin earned a commitment from former Oklahoma running back Tawee Walker on Friday night.
Walker transferred to Oklahoma as a walk-on ahead of the 2022 season. Despite being a walk-on, he carved out a big role in Oklahoma’s running back rotation in 2023. He rushed for 513 yards (second on the team) and 5 touchdowns this year.

Walker entered the transfer portal earlier this offseason, but he played for the Sooners in their Alamo Bowl loss to Arizona on Thursday night. Walker rushed for 17 yards on 7 carries against the Wildcats.
Prior to Oklahoma, Walker played one season at Palomar Junior College in California.
Walker joins a loaded Wisconsin transfer portal class. The Badgers’ transfer class is led by former Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke. The class ranks inside the top-25 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Walker will have one season of eligibility remaining to make an impact in Madison.
