Wisconsin was able to pick Western Michigan’s pocket for a talented receiver on Tuesday.

Stephan Bracey, a 3-star wide receiver out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, announced his decision to commit to the Badgers on Tuesday afternoon. He made the announcement through a Twitter post.

He was previously committed to Western Michigan. He had given his pledge to the Broncos just a month ago. He received an offer from Wisconsin just a few days later.

“I would like to thank all the coaches at Western Michigan University but I have come to a decision that I am decommitting,” Bracey said in his post. “And [I] would love to forward my athletic and academic career at the University of Wisconsin.”

Bracey had seven offers on the table, five of which were from MAC schools. In addition to Western Michigan, the receiver caught the attention of Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois and Toledo.

He also held an offer from Western Illinois, an FCS squad. Wisconsin was the only Power Five team to offer the 3-star receiver.

The 5-foot-9, 160-pound receiver is ranked as the No. 35 player out of Michigan, according to 247Sports. He joins Wisconsin’s 2019 recruiting class, which ranks 30th nationally and seventh in the B1G.

Wisconsin now has 16 commitments in the class.
