A member of Wisconsin’s 2020 recruiting class is already looking for a new home.

On Friday, 247Sports reported that former 3-star linebacker Malik Reed has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. He spent just one season with the Badgers and is exploring his options as spring practice winds down in Madison. Friday was the final day of spring ball.

Reed committed to Wisconsin as a 6-foot-2, 220-pound prospect out of Chandler, Arizona. He was ranked as the No. 42 outside linebacker in the 2020 recruiting class and was a Top 20 talent out of his home state.

He did not see the field during his lone season with the Badgers.

Eight schools showed interest in Reed on the recruiting front. He eventually picked Wisconsin over offers from Arizona, Nebraska, UCLA, Colorado, Indiana, Oregon State and Washington State.

The Badgers ended the 2020 season with a 4-3 record.
