Wisconsin outside linebacker coach Tim Tibesar is reportedly headed to the Pac-12 to become the new defensive coordinator at Oregon State according to reports.

Jon McNamara of Rivals.com tweeted that Tibesar was offered the position to join Jonathan Smith’s staff in Corvallis. This was his third year in Madison.

Before taking the position with the Badgers, Tibesar had previous stops in the B1G at Purdue (defensive coordinator) and Northwestern (defensive consultant). He’s also spent time working as an assistant in the Canadian Football League.

In addition to serving as the outside linebackers coach, he also became the team’s defensive run game coordinator prior to the 2017 season. Wisconsin’s run defense ranked first in the B1G and second in the nation, allowing just 92.6 yards per game and surrendering just five touchdowns on the season.

Last year, Oregon State ranked 11th in the Pac-12 in yards allowed and last in points allowed.
