Wisconsin is working on building the class of 2023 via the recruiting trail and added another piece Friday morning.

This time, the Badgers picked up an offensive line prospect out of Arizona. The player is James Durand, a 3-star lineman out of Chandler, Arizona.

“I want to thank Basha Football and Basha High School,” wrote Durand on Twitter. “I want to thank Coach Kelly for everything. Lastly my family. I’m beyond excited to say that I have committed to further my education and football career at the University of Wisconsin!”

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 280 lbs., the 247 Sports Composite Rankings list Durand as a 3-star prospect and the No. 49 IOL in the country. He held other offers from Utah, Iowa State, Arizona, Cal and Colorado, among others.

Durand is also the No. 11 player out of Arizona and becomes the second commitment for Wisconsin’s class of 2023.
