Wisconsin provides status update on injured TE Clay Cundiff
Despite being 5-3, Wisconsin has been pretty banged up this season and that’s going to continue to be the case the rest of the season it seems.
According to Jeff Potrykus, tight end Clay Cundiff is expected to be out for the season after having to miss this past Saturday’s game against Iowa. Linebacker Aaron Witt is also expected to miss the rest of the season as well.
#Badgers injury updates: TE Clay Cundiff out for the rest of the season. Ditto for OLB Aaron Witt, who was injured in the spring and still is in a boot. OLB Spencer Lytle and LG Josh Seltzner questionable. TE Hayden Rucci still out.

Cundiff only has stats in 3 games this season and was mainly used as a depth tight end. Still, his loss means that the Badgers will be thinner at that position moving forward.
In those 3 games, Cundiff had 3 receptions for 86 yards, plus a touchdown. His best performance was against Notre Dame when he had a 43-yard catch, though his lone touchdown grab came against Michigan on Oct. 2.
Wisconsin will go on the road for its next matchup against Rutgers on Nov. 6. Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. ET.
